There's a certain magic to vintage travel posters. They don't just advertise a destination; they transport you to a different era, offering a glimpse into the romance and adventure of travel. A beautiful example is the Sitges, Spain travel poster by Travel Essayist, which perfectly captures the charm of this coastal town.
The poster showcases the iconic Church of Sant Bartomeu & Santa Tecla, perched majestically against the sea. It’s a sight that has defined the Sitges skyline for generations. The vibrant colors and classic design evoke a sense of nostalgia, making you feel as if you are stepping back in time to the 1920s or 30s, when leisurely travel was an art form.
Sitges, located just southwest of Barcelona, has long been a haven for artists and a popular seaside resort. Its beautiful beaches, lively atmosphere, and historical architecture have made it a favorite destination. The poster's simple elegance highlights these features without needing a single word, proving that a picture can indeed be worth a thousand words.
This vintage-style art piece isn't just a decoration; it's a conversation starter and a reminder of the timeless appeal of places like Sitges. It encourages us to slow down, appreciate the simple beauty of a coastal town, and perhaps even plan our own modern-day escape.

I still remember the feeling of the sun on my skin, that warm, golden light climbing slowly over the hills of Sitges. It cast a soft glow on the Mediterranean, turning the gentle waves into a shimmering sheet of liquid gold. On the sand below, the world was just beginning to wake up, and so was I.
This is my memory of San Sebastián Beach, the heart of Sitges' coastal life. Our poster is a tribute to these perfect mornings, to the leisurely afternoons, and the quiet beauty that has captivated me for years. It captures a moment when I was walking along the water's edge, my footsteps tracing a path in the damp sand. In the distance, the town's elegant buildings stood like a welcoming embrace, framed by a line of swaying palm trees. This is a scene that belongs on your wall.
San Sebastián Beach isn't just a place; it's a feeling. It’s the feeling of warm sand between your toes, the sound of the waves, and the tranquil rhythm of a day spent by the sea. The New York Times even named it the best urban beach in the world, and after spending time there, I can tell you it's a title it earned not just for its beauty but for its soul. It has everything a traveler could want—from sun loungers to cafes—yet it retains the intimate, relaxed feel of an old seafaring neighborhood. This unique blend of convenience and authentic charm is precisely what we’ve captured in our design.
Our poster is more than a piece of art; it's a window into this feeling. The retro style and nostalgic colors—the warm sand, the golden light, the serene green of the water—transport me back to that perfect day in Sitges. It’s a moment of peace, a memory of a journey, and an invitation to dream of the next one. This isn't just a travel souvenir; it's a piece of art that tells a story, a conversation starter for your living room, bedroom, or office.
Imagine this stunning, museum-quality print as the focal point of your decor. It adds a touch of sophistication and wanderlust, serving as a daily reminder of a world waiting to be explored. Whether you've visited Sitges or simply dream of its shores, this poster is a perfect way to bring that feeling of a Spanish seaside escape into your home.
Bring this poster into your home and let it remind you of the simple joys of travel and the enduring beauty of a day well spent on the Spanish coast.

Selected Works from the Print Shop: Some monuments demand your attention before you even realize what you’re looking at. The Venetian Towers of Barcelona are like that. Standing boldly at the foot of Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, they don’t just mark an entrance—they command one.
These twin red-brick structures were modeled after the campanile of St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice, a nod to classical grandeur during the 1929 International Exhibition. But in Barcelona, they’ve taken on a character of their own. Sharper. More solemn. Almost cinematic, especially when framed by a sky like this.
They watch over the city’s grandest events—from trade shows to the Magic Fountain shows below. For me, they represent a kind of threshold. A point where the urban heart of Barcelona opens up into something more theatrical: the Palau Nacional, the MNAC, and the slow climb to Montjuïc.
You walk through them, and suddenly, Barcelona feels different.

Set beneath Warsaw’s ever-shifting skies, the monument to Frédéric Chopin feels less like a statue and more like a visual crescendo. Sculpted by Wacław Szymanowski, it’s all movement and intensity—wind-swept robes, wild branches curling above the composer’s head like notes rising from a piano.
It’s hard to stand before it and not hear something. A nocturne, perhaps. Or a stormy prelude. The figure of Chopin sits contemplative, almost tormented as if listening inwardly to something we cannot hear—yet somehow feel.
There’s a reason this bronze presence draws both tourists and music lovers into Łazienki Park. It’s more than a monument. It’s an embodiment of a national soul, a Romantic echo cast in metal and emotion.

Tucked away in the small Catalan village of Castell, this scene is as unassuming as it is unforgettable. A simple garden: one gnarled olive tree, a handful of worn stones, a slice of sunlight filtering over the old wooden door. And yet, it feels like a portal to an older, slower world.
The stone walls—built without pretense but with lasting strength—frame a space that could be hundreds of years old. There’s an honesty in this garden corner. The kind that whispers rather than shouts, that asks you to pause rather than pass by.
And perhaps that’s the beauty of it. In the age of endless scrolls and split-second impressions, this little moment from Castell invites you to stop, breathe, and feel rooted—like the tree itself.

There’s something quietly magnetic about the way the sun begins to set over Kraków. The golden hour doesn’t just cast light—it unveils character. And nowhere does this become more vivid than at Wawel Castle, where shadows stretch across frescoed walls, and the red-brick tower holds court over centuries of Polish history.
This photo, captured in a fleeting moment between light and twilight, offers a rare stillness inside the castle’s Renaissance courtyard. The ornate loggias, columns, and intricate façade glow gently as the sky deepens behind the tower. Every architectural detail whispers stories from a time when kings walked these grounds when this very space was the heart of a kingdom.
What I found most compelling wasn’t just the architecture—but the texture of time itself. The soft wear of stone, the fading pigments on the walls, the way the tower pierces the sky without arrogance—it all feels profoundly rooted. It’s a place built not just to impress, but to endure.
Wawel is more than just a historical monument—it’s a memory-maker. Whether you’re exploring it for the first time or revisiting through photographs, the castle offers the same gift: a sense of perspective. In this quiet moment of golden light and architectural grace, you’re reminded that beauty and history often meet in silence, just before night falls.
If Kraków had a soul, this might be where it lives.

In a world filled with hustle and bustle, it's essential to take a moment to pause, breathe, and appreciate the natural wonders around us. One such wonder is the breathtaking sight of a vibrant sunset, a masterpiece painted across the sky by the hand of Mother Nature herself.
Imagine this: streaks of clouds painted in hues of crimson and gold, drifting lazily across the canvas of the evening sky. As the sun dips below the horizon, it casts a warm, golden glow that bathes everything it touches in a soft, ethereal light.
Recently, I had the privilege of witnessing such a spectacle firsthand. As I stood amidst the serene beauty of nature, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the scene unfolding before me. The silhouette of the landscape served as the perfect backdrop, its contours accentuated by the warm embrace of the setting sun.
What struck me the most was the horizon line, seemingly endless and stretching far into the distance. It offered a grand view of the dramatic sky, ablaze with shades of orange, yellow, and blue. Each hue blended seamlessly into the next, creating a symphony of colors that danced across the heavens.
In that moment, I felt a profound sense of peace wash over me. It was as if time stood still, and all the worries of the world faded away, if only for a moment. In the presence of such natural beauty, it's impossible not to be filled with a sense of awe and wonder.
As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, signalling the end of another day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness such a magical moment. It served as a reminder of the importance of slowing down and taking the time to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us daily.
So the next time you find yourself caught up in the chaos of everyday life, take a moment to look up at the sky. You never know what wonders you might discover if you pause, breathe, and embrace the beauty of nature's canvas.
